How To Make Beef and Broccoli Noodle Stir Fry

This Beef & Broccoli Noodle dish is a quick and tasty stir fry packed with tender beef and crisp broccoli, tossed in a savoury-sweet sauce with a hint of lime. Perfect for a speedy weeknight dinner, it comes together in just 30 minutes and is sure to satisfy those noodle cravings.

Ingredients (for the stir fry)
  • 300g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp The Good Oil Extra Virgin Sunflower Oil
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 300g fresh noodles
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 red capsicum, cut into strips
  • 2 spring onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Ingredients (for the sauce)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 red chilli, seeds removed and finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • ¼ cup water
Method
  • In a small bowl, mix the beef with cornflour, salt, black pepper, and 1 tbsp of the oil. Let it sit for 10–15 minutes while preparing other ingredients.
  • Bring a small pot of water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and cook for 1 minute until bright green and slightly tender. Drain, rinse under cold water, and set aside.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together garlic, ginger, chilli, soy sauce, sugar, lime juice and sesame oil. In a separate small dish, mix cornflour with water to create a slurry.
  • Heat the remaining oil in a large pan over high heat. Add the beef in a single layer and sear for 1–2 minutes per side until browned. Add the onion and capsicum, and cook for 2–3 minutes, until just starting to soften.
  • Add the broccoli and noodles to the pan. Pour in the sauce, then stir in the cornflour slurry. Toss everything together and cook for 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens and the noodles are heated.
  • Garnish with spring onions and sesame seeds, then serve hot!
